I've been noticing quite a lot of decent short and long album reviews by several of my favorite albums by other talented writers and music lovers from Amazon. I often wonder, who are these cool people, and do they possibly have a last fm profile? I think it would be cool if I got one of these people to join my forum later on and then see their review on here, appreciated by others.
I wanted to do a cool thread on the appreciation of good album reviews by others on Amazon, since that site has hundreds of good album reviews. I like to pick and favorite Amazon album reviews that, to me perfectly describe the way that I feel and think about a particular album, only said in better words than I could possibly do myself.
So anyway, make sure if you post a Amazon album review by someone that you credit them by putting up their name next to the review. (and a nice photo of the album, if you want.)
So here's one that I saw recently that I really loved. For one of my favorite albums now.. (surprisingly!)
Amazon review for Nocturnes by Little boots, released in 2013.

"She'll take you on a mystical, woozy dance through the night, this one. Little Boots returns with a more subtle outing than her more obvious pop-laden debut, but only substitutes some of that sugar-rush immediacy to reward her listener with replay value. The upbeat hooks still exist--check the catchy repetitiveness of "Crescendo" and the uplifting album closer "Satellite"--but much of the album shifts Boots' focus from her daylight roots to a city-lights-at-midnight, as-filtered-through-a-kind-of-danceable-sheen (see the incredible, mesmerizing "Shake") feel. Other tracks (opener "Motorway", "All for You") leave the pulsing nightlife behind and blanket the listener with a slightly aching, nostalgic vibe one might be content to let wrap around oneself while driving on an endless highway, alone, through a starlit night. As a whole piece, "Nocturnes" melds each of these feelings together and presents itself much like a hidden mountain lake sparkling in the moonlight on a warm mid-summer night: after getting used to the water, you'll want to dive in deep and swim around 'til dawn."
